Plate Heat Exchanger
The plate heat exchanger (PHE) is a specialised design well suited to transferring heat between medium and low pressure fluids, and is used extensively across marine and industrial plant because it optimises heat transfer in a compact footprint.
As a plate heat exchanger service and repair specialist, HIT-TRANS has the expertise and equipment to recondition and service PHE units to a consistent standard. Plates and gaskets are analysed to determine whether servicing or replacement is required, and we can supply complete new units to your operating specification.
Plates are pre-washed, degreased, de-scaled and cleaned in heated bubble-agitated baths, then high-pressure washed, rinsed and dried in a purpose-built oven before re-gasketing.

Which makes do you support?
We supply gaskets and reconditioned plates for Alfa Laval, APV, Tranter, SWEP, Hisaka and GEA, among others.
Can you work on board?
Yes. We remove and refit plates or the complete unit on board vessels at shipyards and anchorage locally, and provide a riding crew for troubleshooting leaking exchangers at sea.
Can you supply a new unit?
Yes. We can supply completely new plate heat exchangers built to your required operating specification, in the shortest possible delivery lead time.
